  • Philanthropy
A proportion of our turnover and time is given towards encouraging people into the field of engineering and design. University of Derby engineering students were assisted in the 3D scanning of this March racing car.
  • Pro bono
We occasionally undertake pro bono work if it will ensure an important project happening as opposed to being marooned through lack of funds or skills. At present we are helping a UK team attempt to break the two wheeled land speed record.
  • Information donations
3D Engineers frequently donate information from our library of books and electronic data to engineering and design institutions. If you think we may be able to help you, please contact us using the link above.
  • Talks undertaken
We have given talks for organisations as varied as The Bugatti Trust, Aston Martin Owners Club and IMechE.
  • Guest lecturing
We stepped in to help the University of Derby when they could not find a suitably qualified CAD lecturer. Shown is a student working on a 1924 Bugatti plan.
  • Seminars
The picture shows a seminar we organised to help University students establish the depth of what can be achieved with modern technology.

Karma, philanthropy, call it what you will but 3D Engineers was set up with a commitment to set aside approximately 10% of our time and turnover to further the progress of individuals, charities, projects and education.

Our focus is on engineering and design and where we can, we help. Please note that we are fully committed for 2017, but feel free to talk to us re 2018.

A selection of ways in which we have helped and brought about situations that would not otherwise have happened is shown below.
